G-8 members reaffirm their commitment to respond with the scale and urgency needed to achieve sustainable global food and nutrition security, and note that they have met their financial pledges made at L’Aquila in 2009 and will work to complete disbursements. They reaffirm their commitment to the New Alliance for Food Security and Nutrition and welcome progress since its launch in 2012. They reaffirm their commitment to the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) as the guiding framework for agricultural transformation in Africa, recognising the New Alliance as a means to increase private sector investment in support of CAADP Country Investment Plans.
No new targets.
Not a new commitment. The Alliance builds on the promises of the L'Aquila food security initiative.
