A unique global public-private partnership dedicated to attracting and disbursing additional resources to support prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. Pledges and contributions from donors are received on an ad-hoc voluntary basis.


No numerical targets were set.


The international community has pledged $30.7 billion as of April 2012, of which $22.9 billion has been committed in 150 countries. Detailed breakdown of pledges and contributions is available from the Global Fund website [xls].


No numerical targets were set, thus it is difficult to measure a gap.


It is not clear how the commitments to the Global Fund relate to other aid and health commitments.
