G-8 and other donors to mobilize over $22 billion over three years through a coordinated, comprehensive strategy focused on sustainable agriculture development, and to ensure adequate emergency food aid assistance.
$22.2 billion over 2009-2012 were pledged
Over 99% of the total pledge has been firmly committed, with 10 out of 13 donors committing the full amount of their pledge. As of December 2012, 67% of the total amount pledged has been disbursed (excluding EU), with Canada, Italy, the Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom at full disbursement.
$ 7.3 billion remains to be disbursed (excluding the EU)
It is not very clear how these commitments relate to other ODA commitments. About one third ($6.8 billion) of the $22 billion pledged was new resources, additional to previously planned expenditures.
